Do I need to have my pieces rolled a certain way?
No you don't. They are unrolled during the inspection process before being placed into the machine.
Can you perform repairs?
Yes we can. We offer rope replacement, tear repair, and sewing work.
How clean will my tent be? Will it look like new?
This is a great question. As fabric ages, there are a number of issues that deteriorate from the overall appearance. Our washing process takes care of many of these issues, but not all. We have seen 12 year old tents come out of our machine that looked like they came from the factory. When the tent is installed, certain fabric imperfections such as abrasions and scuffs are going to be more noticeable. The older and more abused your tent top is when we get it, the less likely it is going to look like new when you get it back. It will look light years better, but maybe not new.
Do I need to remove the ropes?
Absolutely not. During the inspection process, all of the ropes are gathered into a small roll and fastened with zip ties to prevent them from tangling during the wash cycle. Even your ropes will look cleaner.
Won't the constant agitation damage my tent top?
This is any tent owners biggest concern. Most people are familiar with household washing machines and their aggressive agitation cycles. People have been taught that in order to get all of the dirt out of any fabric, you will need to expose it to long, harsh wash cycles. While this may be true for other absorbent fabrics, the vinyl itself does not absorb the water. The detergent we use was designed specifically for the tent rental industry to combat the gray "weatherizing" that begins to take place the moment any tent is installed. Our machine avoids the high agitation rate of traditional or retrofitted machines, because it was designed for large vinyl sections. Our water temperature will not exceed 100 degrees.
Do you wash anything besides tents?
We can wash any pliable material. We can handle drop cloths, tarps, bounce houses, awnings, load covers, and even boat sails!
